Regulation for Battery Research Center of Green Energy

Approved by the Administrative Council on August 09, 2016

Article 1, General Principle

The Battery Research Center of Green Energy was established according to MCUT Organization Regulation Article 8.4, and the Regulation for Battery Research Center of Green Energy was set accordingly.

Article 2, Members of the Center

The center is composed of a director, leaders of sections, administrators, technicians, post-doctoral fellows, and research fellows from faculty members of academic departments.  The director is in charge of the overall management of the center and should be selected from university faculty members with associate professorship or higher level and is appointed by the university president.  Leaders of each section are appointed by the director with approval of the president.

Article 3, Functions

The missions of the center include general teaching, research, education promotion, and industrial technology service.  Focuses are on research of innovative new energy materials, patent filing, technology transfer, academic interaction and collaboration, and education and training for doctorate students.

Article 4, Structure

(1). Battery Research and Development (R&D) Section:
The section takes charge of setting up research teams according to various tasks.  Each team should consist of university faculty members of corresponding expertise of the tasks.

(2). University-Industry Service Section:
The section is in charge of the administration affairs of university-industry collaborations and the operation and maintenance of the center’s instruments and facilities.  It also takes charge of supporting the research and development work of the research teams.

(3). Ph.D. Teaching Section:
The section takes charge of the academic and student affairs and administration of the “PhD Program of Energy Technology of Battery”.

Article 5, Decision Method

"Committee Affairs Meeting" is the highest policy decision meeting of the center.  The charters of the meeting are stated separately elsewhere.

Article 6, Organization

The center sets the "Faculty Review Committee" and the "Curriculum Committee".  The charters of the meeting are stated separately elsewhere.

Article 7, Implementation and Revision

This regulation was announced and in implementation after the approval by the university president.
